deal with it as long as you can. . . . . I ended up having a colectomy and now have a colostomy bag attached to my abdomen to the rest of my life. Things can always be worse than they are.

Just take care of it, do what the docs tell you. Stay away from anything with seeds like strawberry seeds, sesame, poppy seeds, sourdough bread, food épicés.Ma mother died of Crohn’s disease 10 years ago. Do not let them scare you, it was old and had probably years. And it was so advanced. The drug that was supposed to help had a side effect of kidney failure and she had only one kidney. So many people have Crohn’s and live a normal life. There is a website, I found some back w / a support group. I think I found on WebMD. Comboni luck. You’ll feel better.

I am 37 years old and diagnosed with crohns when I was 13 years. It can control your life if you allow me, but I do not let them. As the last person who said stay away from items they have sown the worst. I recently started Remicade and I am amazed by the great results I am getting. It is an iv drug you receive once a month. I was in a horrible blaze last 3 years and was just put on Remicade in January 07 and have no pain or problems for the last two months and have been putting on weight I lost (most 25 pounds). Ask your doctor about it and if it does not try to see someone else who will. They give people with rheumatoid arthritis Remicade and they swear by it too, as it is essentially an anti-inflammatory. Keep your mind and if someone thinks that your bad mood, tell them they should try to walk a mile in your shoes, I bet they would not get around the block. Good luck.
